FOOTBALL: Ball State, Akron enter fourth quarter tied at 16

Akron stopped Ball State's streak of 16 unanswered points and scored 10 straight points of its own to enter the fourth quarter tied at 16.

After Ian McGarvey kicked his third field goal of the game to give the Cardinals' a 16-7 lead, the Zips responded with a 10-yard touchdown pass from Patrick Nicely to Richard Hall. It was just Nicely's fifth touchdown of the season, though his second of the game.

After the touchdown, Akron popped the kickoff up and managed to come up with the ball. That possession resulted in a 36-yard field goal by Igor Iveljic.
