FOOTBALL: Toledo mounts second-quarter comeback, ties Ball State at halftime

TOLEDO, Ohio – The first quarter was all Ball State, but the second quarter belonged to Toledo.

The Rockets scored two touchdowns and cut the Cardinals' lead to 17-17 at halftime. Toledo got on the scoreboard nine seconds into the second quarter with a 46-yard touchdown pass from Austin Dantin to wide receiver Eric Page, who dove into the pylon. The play was upheld on review.

Later in the quarter, Dantin scored on a one-yard quarterback sneak.

Ball State's offense was unable to do much in the second quarter, gaining only 45 yards on two drives. Keith Wenning also threw an interception.

Wenning went 10-for-18 for 119 yards and two touchdowns in the first half. MiQuale Lewis was the Cardinals' leading rusher with 33 yards on eight carries.
