FOOTBALL: Ball State gets on the scoreboard

Lewis moves into second place on Cardinals' all-time rushing list

MiQuale Lewis passed former Ball State and Miami Dolphins running back Bernie Parmalee for second place on the school career rushing record with 42 yards in the second quarter.

The Cardinals also got on the scoreboard in the second quarter with a 41-yard touchdown run by running back Eric Williams. Ball State trails Western Michigan 31-6 after Ian McGarvey missed the extra point.

Williams' touchdown run completed a 99-yard drive by Ball State, its longest of the season.

Lewis now trails only Marcus Merriweather in the record books. The senior needs 502 yards to pass Merriweather.
