WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Cards trail Chips at the half

Maggert scores 1,000th career point

Central Michigan University went on a large run midway through the first half to distance themselves from the guests, Ball State University.

Despite 10 first half points from forward Emily Maggert the Cardinals trailed the Chippewas 50-39 at the break. Maggert was the story of the first half for Ball State.

With those 10 points Maggert became the 21st member of the 1,000-point club at Ball State. She is the second Cardinal to join the group this season with guard Audrey McDonald who eclipsed the 1,000 point mark earlier this season.
