MEN'S VOLLEYBALL: No. 13 Ball State swept at Loyola

CHICAGO — The No. 13 Ball State University men's volleyball team was swept 3-0 (30-28, 31-29, 30-25) by Loyola in its season opener Friday — extending its road losing streak against Loyola to 11 matches.

In his first collegiate match, redshirt freshman attacker Jamion Hartley led Ball State with 14 kills.

The Cardinals (0-1) have no time to digest the loss, as they travel to Carthage Saturday.
