Kicker Ian McGarvey and wide receiver Briggs Orsbon were named Academic All-Mid-American Conference on Tuesday.
It is McGarvey's second year on the team, which is based on both academics and performance on the field. Athletes must have played in at least 50 percent of their team's games and have at least a 3.2 GPA.
A psychology major, McGarvey has a 3.54 and Orsbon has a perfect 4.0 in business.
Center Kreg Hunter and fullback Andy Putoff were named honorable mention.
Central Michigan University had the most players honored with seven, including MAC Offensive Player of the Year Dan LeFevour.
