Ball State University ended a their two-game losing streak Sunday afternoon with a 86-80 victory against Illinois State University.
In a high-scoring contest, the Cardinals got help from everyone that entered the game with eight players scoring. Junior guard Ty'Ronda Benning and junior forward Emily Maggert led the Cardinals with 22 and 21 points, respectively.
Senior guard Audrey McDonald scored 16 points and senior forward Danielle Gratton scored 14 points to lead Ball State to the victory heading into the finals break.

The Cardinals will face the No. 1 Miami Redhawks. If Ball State was to win, a second game will need to be played due to the Redhawks undefeated tournament record.
