WOMEN'S TENNIS: Search for coach has not started

The Ball State University athletics department has yet to begin its search for a new women's tennis coach, according to athletics director Tom Collins.

Collins fired former coach Kathy Bull Oct. 20 after Bull was found to have committed a half dozen violations, including asking players to lie on documents recording practice times and dates. Ball State did not compete in its last two tournaments of the fall season after Bull was fired.

Collins said after the firing that graduate assistant Amanda Pratzel and associate athletics director Karin Lee would be in charge of the team until a new coach is found.

The Cardinals first match of the spring season is scheduled for Jan. 16 against the University of Dayton at the Northwest YMCA of Muncie.
