MEN'S TENNIS: Ball State heads to Bloomington short handed

Ball State University's men's tennis team will have to fight it out this weekend without one its top players.

Sophomore Cliff Morrison did not travel with the team to Bloomington for the Intercolligate Tennis Association regional this week because he came down with the flu. Coach Bill Richards said Morrison's sickness in not H1N1 related.

Morrison won the singles championship at the Milwaukee Classic back in September. Richards will try to work with tournament officials to move freshman Dalton Albertin in his place. Albertin will then join Junior Eduardo Pavia and sophomore Andres Monroy in the main draw.

All the other Cardinals plan to get on the court this weekend during qualifing play including junior Dave Thomas who has recovered from his wrist injury.
