Today: After chilly conditions paid us a visit yesterday, we are on our way through a rebound starting with a small warmup today & some *much* better sky conditions. Other than some high clouds streaming in, that should help make things a bit better with the sun being able to do more of its lovely work. In all, great conditions as you head out for afternoon or Spring Break plans!

February Recap: February overall ended slightly below average in terms of both temperatures and precipitation. With a mixture of below and above average days, including starting and ending the month with days above average in the 50s, we ultimately landed half of a degree below average in terms of temperature. In terms of precipitation, we were slightly drier than normal with 0.34" below average, as dry conditions prevailed throughout much of the month.

Tonight: Scattered snow showers are possible as we move through the overnight hours. As we move into tomorrow morning, we will see more chances for accumulation. Temperatures will remain in the low 20s for tonight.

Tonight: Quite the temperature contrast from what we saw earlier in the day as we will reach a low of 26 degrees. Rain will clear out of the area, leaving behind mostly cloudy skies. Expect winds to shift, coming out of the northwest at 15-20 MPH, with gusts up to 20 MPH.

We were 7 degrees from the record high of 68 degrees set back in 2018, as sunshine and southerly breezes boosted temperatures into the lower 60s. A high of 61 degrees at the Muncie airport this afternoon makes today the first day over 60 degrees in Muncie for 2022! Our last 60 degree day was recorded on December 27, 2021.

Today: Back to wintry reality is how we will describe things for today although there are many of us who enjoyed he unseasonably warm weather the past few days. We will get a chance to dry out and get some ample sunshine, but things will generally stay brisk. Our high will approach 30, but bear in mind that we will also see breezy conditions as we move through the afternoon hours, so make sure that you bundle up out the door for any of your plans around town.

Tonight: Due to the ongoing flooding around the area there is a Flood Warning in effect until 9PM Friday. There is also a Winter Weather Advisory for the viewing area due to the light snow and ice accumulation that is expected tonight. The temps will fall tonight prompting a flash freeze. Flash freezes are caused by standing water on the roads and sidewalks being exposed to rapidly falling temperatures. Travel will be impacted due to this, and expect tonight and tomorrow morning to be the worst of it. As far as the rest of the night, we have a low of 16 degrees with winds blowing from the northwest at 20MPH. Light snow will also be playing a factor tonight but with accumulations staying around an inch.

Tonight: There is a Flood Watch currently in effect from 7pm tonight until late Thursday evening. Make sure to keep this in mind during your commutes tomorrow. If you come across any major flooding, make good decisions and maybe turn around and find a new route! Tonight's low is 50 degrees with winds out of the southwest at 20 mph with gust up to 35 mph.
