More than 8,000 fans at Purcell Pavilion were silenced after Tayler Persons hit the game-winning 3-pointer that gave Ball State its first ever win against Notre Dame.

The same can't be said about the Ball State fans who traveled to South Bend or those watching the game live, however. Fans celebrated by yelling in front of their television screens, high-fiving strangers at the bar and anxiously waiting for the team to return to Muncie.

Regardless of how celebrations were had, almost all of them turned to Twitter to express their excitement after witnessing Ball State beating a Top 25 team on the road – something that had never happened in program history.
