For the seventh straight summer, Music for All brings its national summer music camp to Ball State.

The week-long Summer Symposium brings together middle school and high school music students along with band directors from across the country to learn from each other.

According to the camp's website, Music for All is "America's Camp," bringing together "the best faculty, exciting concerts and events, and students from band and orchestra programs from coast-to-coast who share a love of music-making, performance, and student leadership."

This week, Ball State's campus will host more than 1,700 students and directors going through different instrumental programs and hosting a nightly concert series available to the public.

This week's camp began today and runs through July 1. Ball State, however, will host the annual summer music symposium through 2023 because of a sponsorship agreement signed last year, according to a press release from Ball State news center.
