Ball State football fans know Willie Snead is a player.

After all, he had 223 receptions for 2,991 yards and 26 touchdowns in three seasons for the Cardinals.

Based on Snead's play for the New Orleans Saints in the preseason, the rest of the NFL is starting to figure it out, too.

The Saints are 0-3 in the preseason. The Ball State record-breaking receiver has been a bright spot, however, hauling in eight receptions for 117 yards while trying to secure a roster spot. Snead had four catches for 56 yards against the Houston Texans on Aug. 30.

Whether or not Snead makes the 53-man roster cut by the start of the regular season remains to be seen.

But if this pretty, 23-yard back shoulder catch and run is any indication, he's got a good shot.
