Ball State University Spring 2021 graduate Karleigh Conner has been awarded an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship in recognition of her accomplishments in academics, athletics, extracurricular activities, and community service. A former Ball State Track & Field/Cross Country athlete, Conner was one of only 21 female Spring sport athletes in the United States to receive this $10,000 scholarship.

This series is scheduled to run four concerts, each beginning at approximately 7:30 p.m., featuring four different genres of music.

August 11, 2022, the Ball State University COVID-19 vaccination clinic is set to resume service with modified hours. The clinic is located in the Health Professions Building on Ball State's campus (1613 W. Riverside Ave, Muncie, IN 47303). Parking is available on the east side of the building.

August 10, 2022, Ball State Daily News sophomore photographer Amber Pietz captured photos of one of Ball State University's landmarks, LaFollette Complex, under demolition. The dormitory complex was introduced to Cardinals in 1967 and has been partly under demolition since 2017.

As announced August 8, 2022, Kira Zick and Kim Kowalski have been selected as Muncie Community Schools’ (MCS) primary and secondary Teachers of the Year, respectively, for the 2021-22 school year. The two recipients were honored at Muncie Central High School during an employee gathering.

In a notice sent out by the Ball State University Facilities Planning and Management department August 1, 2022, it was announced the domestic hot water in the Architecture Building August 2, 2022. The hot water will not be available from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. while the cold water will still be available.

Cameron Andry has been announced as the new head coach for Ball State Women's Golf, Ball State Director of Athletics Beth Goetz announced July 19, 2022. Andry spent the previous 11 seasons at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana. Andry spent his time at Taylor as Director of Golf, overseeing both the Men's and Women's Golf programs, where he won conference Coach of the Year 10 times. The Trojans won 10 Crossroads League Championships and finished in the top 11 at the NAIA National Championship four times. During his time as the Men's head coach, Andry helped establish Taylor's Women's program in 2012. From 2012-22, the Trojans won four Crossroads League Championships (2017, 2018, 2019, 2021) and finished second at the NAIA National Championship in 2021. Andry also coached the Men's team to six consecutive conference Championships from 2016-22, bringing the Trojans' Golfstat ranking from 118 to eight. Between both the Men's and Women's programs, Andry coached 46 All-Conference performers and 14 All-Americans and won 79 tournaments. Under Andry's guidance, the Trojans' student-athletes earned NAIA Scholar Team honors in all of the last nine seasons. With that, the Men's team earned the highest team GPA in their conference in eight of the last nine seasons. Andry graduated from Ball State University in 2009, where he earned a bachelor's degree in telecommunications. He was a four-year letterwinner in Boys Golf at Paoli High School in Paoli, Indiana, where he was selected as an All-Conference player twice.
