MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- This weekend is Family Weekend at Ball State University and that means there will be many parents, grandparents, students, and family members in town as the Cardinals take on the Chippewas from Central Michigan. The weather will be warm for the game on Saturday, with a high near 70, however, we will have to dodge multiple rounds of rain. Bringing the rain jackets out to Scheumann Stadium is highly advised as periods of rain showers, and maybe a rumble of thunder, are expected throughout the entire game period. Additionally, winds will be gusty, from the southwest in the 15-20 mph range, with gusts over 20 mph. Temps will then take a plunge, back toward the 40s, as we head into the overnight Saturday. MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- A warming trend will continue on Wednesday, as east central Indiana will be warming up into the lower to mid 70s for many locations. The down side to this warmer weather being that we will have to dodge a few small rain chances to come along with it. A small chance for a rain shower does exist on Wednesday, while we will be under partly cloudy skies. The winds will again be breezy, in the 10 to 20 mph range, still blowing from the southwest keeping our temps rather mild for this time of the year. The rain chances will increase on Thursday, with a 20% chance of seeing a shower or rumble of thunder. Temps will then cool slightly on Friday, but rise back into the 70s by Saturday just in time for Family Weekend at Ball State. The down side to this warm air is that it will bring in a much better chance for rain showers and maybe a thunderstorm. The system that brings the rain will also bring an end to our warm weather, dropping our high temperatures significantly for Sunday, where we only reach 59. Another shot of rain comes on Tuesday, bringing with it a high of only 56. Enjoy the warm weather while you can Ball State!

MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- After returning home to pretty dismal weather for the Ball State Homecoming game, our Cardinals are back on the road and back in Illinois this weekend to take on the Northern Illinois Huskies. Weather should be cooperating much better where the Huskies play in DeKalb, Illinois, compared to how it did for us last week, as no rain or cloud cover is forecast for Saturday. The winds should also be much calmer and the temperatures much warmer than when the Cardinals most recently took to the grid iron. Get full details, and your travel forecast, in the video above!

MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- After the brief cold spell, that meant miserable conditions for the Ball State Homecoming, the weather this week has been much nicer. Partly cloudy skies will return for Wednesday, but only after we burn off some fog set to move in Tuesday night into early Wednesday. Temps on Wednesday will warm into the mid-70s, helping to easily burn off the morning fog. Temps will then rise into the upper-70s for Thursday, under mostly sunny skies to start the day. Clouds will then begin to build into the region later in the evening hours of Thursday, ahead of our next chance for rain. Rain showers, and some thunderstorms, will move in late Thursday night into early Friday. These will linger around the region for the morning commute Friday, but should be gone by Friday evening. This system will also leave an impact on our temperatures, with highs for Friday and Saturday only making it into the mid-60s. The sun, which will return on Saturday, will then help temperatures recover for the rest of our Fall Break weekend, as we see the mid to upper-70s again by Monday. Only three days left till Fall Break Ball State! Hang in there and enjoy a well deserved break!

MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- The Ball State Cardinals are on the road for one more weekend as they travel to Evanston, Illinois to take on the Northwestern Wildcats. The forecast for the day is looking pretty nice, especially early on. Partly Sunny skies and mild temps will dominate the region, as an ENE wind off of Lake Michigan will help to keep temperatures mild, even as we head into the overnight. Some more clouds will pop up around the region after kick off, with skies becoming every more cloudy as the evening goes on. The winds coming off the lake could also get a little gusty at times, leading us to leave breezy winds in the forecast for the game. For full details please see the video above.

MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- What else can be said about the weather this week except for picture perfect! Sunny skies dominate the 7-day forecast as we remain under a strong high pressure ridge across much of the Untied States. Temperatures in this forecast will remain comfortably in the upper 70s. Some clouds will work their way into the region for Friday through Sunday, but no real chance for rain will appear. A slight chance for rain will pop up on Monday, but after that the mostly sunny skies will return and our temps will rise into the low 80s. Enjoy this great forecast Ball State!

MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- The Cardinals are continuing their road trip this weekend as they travel up to Ypsilanti, Michigan to take on the Eastern Michigan Eagles. The bad news for anyone hoping to join them on the road is, you will also need to pack an umbrella in that road gear. Rain showers and storms will be around Friday night and into Saturday, with scattered rain showers likely lingering into the game time. We expect temperatures to be in the 60s for the drive up Saturday morning, but eventually warm up to near 68 by kickoff. Other than the possible wet conditions affecting the game, we are also expecting winds to be from the NW in the 10 to 20 mph range, with some wind gusts over 20 mph to be possible. This type of wind could certainly have an impact on the kicking game Saturday. There is still some uncertainty with the timing on the cold front, and the exact timing of the rain for Saturday, but I would not want to make this trip without plan to stay dry! GO CARDINALS!
(09/11/15 5:41am)
MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- The Ball State Cardinals will be traveling down to College Station, Texas this weekend to take on the Texas A&M Aggies. If you are going to make the trip with the team, the weather for your game day could not look to be more perfect. Dry conditions with clear skies appear likely, with the only down side being temps rising into the low 90s for highs on Saturday. However, the humidity should fall throughout the day, making things feel rather comfortable after kickoff. For more details, please check out the video above.

MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- As we head into the second week of the semester, the Ball State Football Team is heading toward their home opener this Thursday night at 7 o'clock. While we will all be rooting for the Cardinals, we may also have to dodge a few pop-up rain showers and storms Thursday afternoon and evening. Temps will be in the mid to upper-80s on Thursday, combining with rather high dew points, to create the perfect mix of humid conditions that pop-up storms love to form in over Indiana. At this time we are not expecting the game to be rained out, actually far from it, as there should also be plenty of dry time throughout the evening. For full details please watch the Game Day Forecast video above this article.
