June 17, Geoffrey S. Mearns, Ball State University President, along with Maureen McCarthy, Dean of College of Science and Humanities, conducted the official Dr. Joe and Alice Rinard Orchid Greenhouse expansion ribbon cutting ceremony. There was not a seat to be had, as some in attendance had to stand due to the large crowd of people present for this ceremony.

On day two of the Indiana High School Boys Golf State Finals, Delta High School Boys Golf junior Riley Bratton shot an 85, three points better than his score from day one. Bratton finished his trip to the State Finals with a total score of 173, meaning he was 29 over par.
Tuesday, June 14, Delta High School Boys Golf junior Riley Bratton competed in day one of the Indiana Boys’ Golf State Finals at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana. Bratton shot a 88, with seven pars, eight bogeys, one double bogey and two triple bogeys or worse.

June 9, Delta High School and Yorktown High School Boys' Golf teams competed in Regional 3, hosted by Muncie Central High School at The Players Club in Yorktown, Indiana. Muncie Burris was also represented individually by Nahom Solomon.
Eight Delaware County High School Boys' Golf programs competed in Sectionals June 6, with two programs and one individual advancing to Regionals.

Memorial Day was host to six Delaware County Baseball games, with five different high schools in action. A rundown of each event is below:
No. 1 seed Ball State Baseball (40-19, 32-7 MAC) lost to No. 2 seed Central Michigan (42-17, 30-7 MAC) 11-7 in the final game of the 2022 Mid-American Conference Baseball Championship Tournament May 29, falling just short of making the NCAA Regionals they had been striving for throughout the season. The Cardinals won their first two games of the tournament, meaning they were one win away from a NCAA Regionals berth, but lost two games in a row to the Chippewas, coming up just short.
“The pain of today can be the joy of tomorrow,” Ball State Baseball (40-18, 32-7 MAC) head coach Rich Maloney said.
