When head coach Kelli Miller Phillips took over Ball State Women’s Volleyball (28-3, 17-1 MAC) in 2016, the focus was on the bright future of the program. The Cardinals moved one step closer to showcasing the program’s recent success Nov. 22.

Ball State Women’s Volleyball graduate student outside hitter Jaclyn Bulmahn spent four years playing volleyball at Valparaiso University. There, Bulmahn and her teammates wouldn’t normally tuck in their jerseys when they played. At Ball State, tucking in jerseys on the court is a normal occurrence Bulmahn has adjusted to this season since transferring.
Ball State (14-3, 4-1 MAC) defeated Akron (8-9, 2-3 MAC) 3-0 Friday, improving its win streak to four.

Ball State Women’s Volleyball (5-0, 0-0 MAC) extended its undefeated streak Friday evening against Wright State (2-2, 0-0 Horizion). The Cardinals defeated the Raiders in four sets, by scores of 25-21, 20-25, 26-24 and 25-20, respectively.
