MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) - Sunny skies and warmer temperatures continue to impact Muncie and the surrounding area. Today, we will continue to climb to 79 degrees as our high. Tonight, skies will continue to remain clear with temperatures dropping down to 59 degrees. Friday is looking to be another great day before the rain chances return back to the forecast for the weekend. Friday expect mostly sunny skies with a a high of 84 degrees. The weekend rain chances look to be more likely on Saturday. If you are headed out for Family Weekend activities be sure to take a umbrella. MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- Good Wednesday evening! We saw just a few sprinkles this morning but those rain showers have moved into southern Indiana along with a cold front that has been located to our south the past couple days. Since that cold front is moving out we do expect clear skies overnight into Thursday and a gorgeous day for tomorrow. Expect highs into the upper 70s for Thursday with no rain chances to speak of. Friday however, rain chances move back into our area later on in the day. Friday will become warmer as we get on the back side of a high pressure system giving way to southerly winds bringing in more moisture and heat. Expect temperatures in the lower 80s with rain chances beginning in the early evening hours. For family weekend here at Ball State, Saturday does appear to be wet with highs in the upper 70s while Sunday expect a few showers in the morning but turning clear by midday as high pressure works in! MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) - The temperatures that feel like the season of Fall have returned back to Muncie for at least the morning hours. Expect cooler mornings over the next seven days as morning lows will be in the upper 50s and low 60s. Over the next three days the largest chance for precipitation will return back to the forecast for the daytime on Wednesday. These rain showers will be scattered and will likely occurring in the morning and late afternoon. Rainfall amounts are only expected to be around 0.02" in most locations. Once the cold front moves through on Wednesday, sunny skies will return back to the forecast until Saturday. Family Weekend is shaping up to be nice, however, rain chances return for Saturday. MUNCIE, IN (Newslink Indiana)-- Fantastic Tuesday afternoon! We saw our high reach lower 80's today. However, there is a chance for some possible showers throughout the day tomorrow with temperatures in the upper 70's. Overcast skies are going to stick around for Wednesday but a beautiful next couple of days are in store. Thursday and Friday are looking fantastic to get outside and enjoy the sun and warm weather with temperatures in the lower 80's. However, it's going to be a wet one for family weekend. Be sure to take an umbrella for Ball State's 1st home football game against eastern Kentucky with thunderstorms throughout the day. Sunday brings cloudy conditions with a high of 66 with the possibility of thunderstorms. On Monday we will see sunshine with a high of 63. The clouds that we encountered today will start to fade off during the over night hours. Then they will return tomorrow as we will have mostly cloudy skies, but the chance of rain will no longer be a problem. On Saturday the chance of rain returns with PM rain showers to start off your weekend. Then on Monday the rain will return after a break on Sunday. From there the highs will start to rise into the low 70s and will remain like that during next week. The sun will be shinning brightly and it will be gorgeous weather for students here at Ball State for their final exams. Make sure you have the umbrella handy this weekend. Rain is looking like it will stick around throughout Thursday. Lightning and thunder started early Thursday morning, with rain showers beginning in between 8 and 9 AM. Thursday's high will reach 66 degrees, and conditions will clear out for Friday afternoon after overcast conditions in the morning. Rain chances will return for the weekend, with thunderstorms expected for Sunday. Finals week starts next week, and thankfully conditions will be a bit nicer, with sunny conditions to be expected along with warmer temperatures. Our high today only got to around 62 degrees, a little bit below average for the end of April. This is due to the low pressure system moving through the our area and also bringing along those rain showers. these showers will continue throughout the night and reach a low of 52. Those showers will stick around throughout the overnight hours and into tomorrow as well. With a high of 70 tomorrow, the rain will move out during the mid afternoon hours making way for a nice Friday to end the week. Friday's high will be 67 with a bit of sunshine too. MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- The rain and storms have moved out of East Central Indiana. We will be seeing cloudy conditions for tonight and throughout most of the day on Wednesday. Tonight we will drop to a low of 50 degrees, while tomorrow we will see highs only reaching into the mid 60s. Storms will begin to fill in the radar for Wednesday evening and last through Thursday afternoon with temperatures being into the upper 60s as well. Friday we clear things out just in time for our next round of showers and storms for the weekend. Temperatures will be pretty average for Saturday and Sunday with highs into mid 60s, and lows into the low 50s. Muncie, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- This week is going to see unstable conditions throughout the area. Today is one of the few days this week when we will see some sunshine, but low pressure system will begin to make its way through east central Indiana overnight. With the passage of the cold front associated with the low pressure system, along with convective heating at night, is going to provide us with a chance for some thunderstorms tonight. Tuesday that rain chance will hang around as the cold front passes through, but chances for more thunderstorms will increase as the day progresses. Wednesday another low pressure system begins to approach us, and with it comes the best chance for heavy rain, where we could pick up anywhere from 0.25 to 0.5 inches of rain. Wednesday night, thunderstorms are again possible, and this chance for rain and thunderstorms will continue into Thursday. Thursday the low pressure system should move through completely, and we will have high pressure for a brief period on Friday. This means clouds will clear out and the sunshine will return! Unfortunately, the chance for rain returns on Saturday afternoon. Temperatures will start to fall and the best chance for significant rainfall will occur on Sunday and will carry into next week. Rain has returned for yet another Thursday this week in central Indiana. A low pressure system is working its way through the Midwestern United States, bringing showers through an occluded front, which is affecting us. Temperatures for Thursday will reach a high of 68 degrees with showers continuing throughout the day. Expect showers to continue into Friday afternoon before starting to finally clear out. The weekend forecast looks to be another good one, with clear condtions for both Saturday and Sunday, with highs of 67 and 78 respectively. The start of the work week Monday looks to be the start of a second band of rain showers, which will continue through Wednesday. Temperatures will begin to fluxuate Monday through Wednesday, with highs jumping between the mid 70s to low 60s.
