Warm weather has been spoiling us the past several days locally here in Muncie. The trend will continue, but we will see rain return in our forecast starting Friday. A low pressure system will works its way through central Indiana starting Friday night heading into Saturday. This will bring scattered showers Friday evening, with rain continuing through much of Saturday. Friday morning and mid day will have warm conditions, with an afternoon high of 84 degrees. Family Weekend is also this weekend here at Ball State University. Saturday's rain will make the home football game a wet one, so plan accordingly! MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) - Sunny skies and warmer temperatures continue to impact Muncie and the surrounding area. Today, we will continue to climb to 79 degrees as our high. Tonight, skies will continue to remain clear with temperatures dropping down to 59 degrees. Friday is looking to be another great day before the rain chances return back to the forecast for the weekend. Friday expect mostly sunny skies with a a high of 84 degrees. The weekend rain chances look to be more likely on Saturday. If you are headed out for Family Weekend activities be sure to take a umbrella. Saturday and Sunday's temperatures will be in the lower 80s. Early next week we will see the sunshine return back to the forecast. MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- Good Wednesday evening! We saw just a few sprinkles this morning but those rain showers have moved into southern Indiana along with a cold front that has been located to our south the past couple days. Since that cold front is moving out we do expect clear skies overnight into Thursday and a gorgeous day for tomorrow. Expect highs into the upper 70s for Thursday with no rain chances to speak of. Friday however, rain chances move back into our area later on in the day. Friday will become warmer as we get on the back side of a high pressure system giving way to southerly winds bringing in more moisture and heat. Expect temperatures in the lower 80s with rain chances beginning in the early evening hours. For family weekend here at Ball State, Saturday does appear to be wet with highs in the upper 70s while Sunday expect a few showers in the morning but turning clear by midday as high pressure works in! MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) - The temperatures that feel like the season of Fall have returned back to Muncie for at least the morning hours. Expect cooler mornings over the next seven days as morning lows will be in the upper 50s and low 60s. Over the next three days the largest chance for precipitation will return back to the forecast for the daytime on Wednesday. These rain showers will be scattered and will likely occurring in the morning and late afternoon. Rainfall amounts are only expected to be around 0.02" in most locations. Once the cold front moves through on Wednesday, sunny skies will return back to the forecast until Saturday. Family Weekend is shaping up to be nice, however, rain chances return for Saturday. MUNCIE, IN (Newslink Indiana)-- Fantastic Tuesday afternoon! We saw our high reach lower 80's today. However, there is a chance for some possible showers throughout the day tomorrow with temperatures in the upper 70's. Overcast skies are going to stick around for Wednesday but a beautiful next couple of days are in store. Thursday and Friday are looking fantastic to get outside and enjoy the sun and warm weather with temperatures in the lower 80's. However, it's going to be a wet one for family weekend. Be sure to take an umbrella for Ball State's 1st home football game against eastern Kentucky with thunderstorms throughout the day. We are starting to see those fall-like temperatures move into the forecast. Low tonight of 56 degrees, which about on average for the beginning of September. Tomorrow a high of 82 degrees with partly cloudy skies. Another beautiful day to get outside and mow the lawn or do some homework outside! Wednesday has a chance of scattered showers throughout the day with overcast skies. To end the end week, highs in the mid-70s with sunny skies. If you are heading out to watch Ball State take on Eastern Kentucky, you may want to bring an umbrella since there is a high chance of storms. MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana)- For the rest of tonight the temperature will drop to a low of 45 with clouds to start of the night then gradual clearing. Make sure to bring your umbrella if you are going out on Saturday, rain is making its way through and will bring the chance for thunderstorms. The high will be 58 with mostly cloudy skies. Sunday brings cloudy conditions with a high of 66 with the possibility of thunderstorms. On Monday we will see sunshine with a high of 63. For the rest of the week expect sunshine with some clouds, and highs in the mid-60s.

A break from the rain today with mostly cloudy skies with a high of 64. Tonight skies will remain mostly cloudy and temperature dropping down to 45 degrees. Rain returns this weekend with temperatures in the lower to mid 60s. For Saturday the rain will move in around 10 am and move to the Northeast. In the afternoon there are chances for thunderstorms. On Sunday conditions will start of dry with cloudy skies with rain developing in the afternoon. For next week the rain will clear out leaving partly cloudy skies for the majority of the week. The clouds that we encountered today will start to fade off during the over night hours. Then they will return tomorrow as we will have mostly cloudy skies, but the chance of rain will no longer be a problem. On Saturday the chance of rain returns with PM rain showers to start off your weekend. Then on Monday the rain will return after a break on Sunday. From there the highs will start to rise into the low 70s and will remain like that during next week. The sun will be shinning brightly and it will be gorgeous weather for students here at Ball State for their final exams. Make sure you have the umbrella handy this weekend. You won't need it next week!

Rain is looking like it will stick around throughout Thursday. Lightning and thunder started early Thursday morning, with rain showers beginning in between 8 and 9 AM. Thursday's high will reach 66 degrees, and conditions will clear out for Friday afternoon after overcast conditions in the morning. Rain chances will return for the weekend, with thunderstorms expected for Sunday. Finals week starts next week, and thankfully conditions will be a bit nicer, with sunny conditions to be expected along with warmer temperatures. Finish the school year off strong Cardinals we have one week left! Hopefully the weather will help raise the moral unlike this rain!

Our high today only got to around 62 degrees, a little bit below average for the end of April. This is due to the low pressure system moving through the our area and also bringing along those rain showers. these showers will continue throughout the night and reach a low of 52. These storm chances will continue into tomorrow as well, with a high of 59. Mostly cloudy skies to start our your weekend on Friday. The rest of the weekend looks like to be rain as well. MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- After a cloudy afternoon with a high of 61, rain is going to move in around dinner time tonight. Those showers will stick around throughout the overnight hours and into tomorrow as well. With a high of 70 tomorrow, the rain will move out during the mid afternoon hours making way for a nice Friday to end the week. Friday's high will be 67 with a bit of sunshine too. The weekend before finals will be wet on both Saturday and Sunday with highs in the mid-to-upper 60s. MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- The rain and storms have moved out of East Central Indiana. We will be seeing cloudy conditions for tonight and throughout most of the day on Wednesday. Tonight we will drop to a low of 50 degrees, while tomorrow we will see highs only reaching into the mid 60s. Storms will begin to fill in the radar for Wednesday evening and last through Thursday afternoon with temperatures being into the upper 60s as well. Friday we clear things out just in time for our next round of showers and storms for the weekend. Temperatures will be pretty average for Saturday and Sunday with highs into mid 60s, and lows into the low 50s. Muncie, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- This week is going to see unstable conditions throughout the area. Today is one of the few days this week when we will see some sunshine, but low pressure system will begin to make its way through east central Indiana overnight. With the passage of the cold front associated with the low pressure system, along with convective heating at night, is going to provide us with a chance for some thunderstorms tonight. Tuesday that rain chance will hang around as the cold front passes through, but chances for more thunderstorms will increase as the day progresses. Wednesday another low pressure system begins to approach us, and with it comes the best chance for heavy rain, where we could pick up anywhere from 0.25 to 0.5 inches of rain. Wednesday night, thunderstorms are again possible, and this chance for rain and thunderstorms will continue into Thursday. Thursday the low pressure system should move through completely, and we will have high pressure for a brief period on Friday. This means clouds will clear out and the sunshine will return! Unfortunately, the chance for rain returns on Saturday afternoon. Temperatures will start to fall and the best chance for significant rainfall will occur on Sunday and will carry into next week. Friday! Tonight our low will get down to 45° with scattered showers around this evening. Our winds will be coming out of
the North-Northwest at 5 to 10 mph. Saturday sunny skies will return to us here
in central Indiana as our highs make their way up to 65°. Sunday the warm and
sunny weather will continue as our highs climb up to 76° for your afternoon
high. Unfortunately, for the start of your work week, rain showers and thunderstorms will return to the area during the evening hours but our highs
will continue on that upward trend to 77°. Tuesday those showers and

MUNCIE,IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- Today will start off with overcast skies and as a cold front pushes through it will help initiate thunderstorms around 3pm. Expect moderate rain and possibly lightning. Temperatures with reach a high of 67. The rain will end early this evening leaving mostly cloudy skies and cooler temperatures. Tonight's low will 46 degrees. An upper-level ridge and surface high pressure will cause dry and sunny conditions for this weekend. By Sunday, the temperatures will warm up to the upper 70s. Thunderstorms late Monday night and throughout the day on Tuesday. The temperatures will be cooler on Tuesday with a high of 61. For the rest of the week expect thunderstorms and rain.
