MUNCIE, Ind. — Newslink Indiana, Anna Chalker, spoke with Indiana Michigan Power’s Communication Representative, Corey Ohlenkhmp, about how the company is helping those in Florida who are affected by hurricane Ian.
MUNCIE, Ind.--- The Department of Education recently awarded a 1.3 million dollar grant to Ball State University’s Teacher College. This is the first of three grants awarded to the College, along with a $1 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. and another DOE grant of $2.6 million. The College is using the $1.3 million to enhance civic education through Muncie Community Schools (MCS).
On Oct. 11, registration for early voting ends and the formal process of early voting begins. Later in October, before the official Nov. 8 election, absentee voting begins for those who aren’t able to make it to the polls.
