In response to Ohio Governor Mike DeWine's recommendation to limit the attendance of athletic events to athletes, parents and other essential to the games due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Mid-American Conference Tournament will be closed to the general public, according to a press release from the Mid-American Conference.

It was the final game of the year for Ball State Women’s Basketball (21-9, 13-5 MAC). Win or lose, the Cardinals had already punched their ticket to Cleveland for next week’s Mid-American Conference tournament. The game for Western Michigan (17-12, 10-8 MAC), on the other hand, decided if it would be playing Monday. It took an extra five minutes for Ball State to take down the Broncos 64-63.

Coming off a 17-point victory on Senior Night Tuesday, a strong veteran presence was key for Ball State Men’s Basketball (18-13, 11-7 MAC) Friday at the Convocation Center in DeKalb, Illinois. Led by 33 points from their three senior players, the Cardinals defeated Northern Illinois (18-13, 11-7 MAC) in their regular season finale 75-54.

Ball State came into its Wednesday night matchup at Northern Illinois with heads high and confidence beaming down the bench. The Cardinals snapped Central Michigan's undefeated streak in Mid-American Conference play on Saturday and punched their ticket to Cleveland next week.

Ball State Men’s Basketball (17-13, 10-7 MAC) hosted Central Michigan (13-17, 6-11 MAC) in its final home game of the regular season on Tuesday. With emotions running high as the Ball State honored its seniors, the Cardinals held a Chippewas team, that was averaging nearly 80 points per game, to less than 70 points in an 85-68 win.
