Millennials are the most racially diverse group in the nation’s history according to a report by Pew Research Center. Only 56 percent of Millennials are white. By 2043, the Census Bureau predicts that the majority of the U.S. population will be non-white.
Josh Cooper, 34, a pastor at Bridge Community Church, says college is a pivotal time for students. Regardless of religion, he says it’s important for young people to keep an open mind and welcome new ideas. He says between the ages of 18 and 25, a lot of young people start to think differently and fully develop their frontal lobes which leads them to question things that otherwise used to make sense.
