In a back-and-forth contest that went all the way down to the final possessions, turnovers stalled Ball State Women’s Basketball’s (18-8, 10-4 MAC) chances, as it fell to Eastern Michigan (13-12, 7-6 MAC) 61-58.
Ball State Women’s Basketball (18-7, 10-3 MAC) has shown to be nearly unstoppable at home. The Cardinals only have one flaw so far in Worthen Arena, and that came from out-of-conference play. Beating Northern Illinois (8-16, 4-9 MAC) 97-89 Wednesday, Ball State remains undefeated against Mid-American Conference opponents at Worthen Arena.

Ball State Women’s Basketball (17-7, 9-3 MAC) closed out Mid-American Conference East play the right way. The Cardinals swept Buffalo (13-10, 4-8 MAC) in the season series after winning in convincing fashion 69-58.
It was an awkward start in Savage Arena, as points were scored before the opening tip. The Cardinals were down moments prior to the contest, and junior forward Oshlynn Brown wasn’t a part of the starting lineup for the first time this season.

Home-court advantage is real in regards to Ball State Women’s Basketball. The Cardinals’ play has been consistently better when they have laced them up in Worthen Arena, and that continued against Western Michigan Saturday.

The Cardinals were even better again in the second half against Eastern Michigan (7-7, 2-1 MAC), and it was enough for them to come out on top to extend their current win streak to seven games straight.
