Deadpool and the Mercs for Money will be an upcoming five-issue series from Uncanny X-Men writer Cullen Bunn and artist Salva Espin. In it, Deadpool will reportedly face off against 12 of Marvel's biggest villains.According to Bunn in an interview with IGN, the comic is:“The Dirty Dozen and The Expendables if Deadpool was in charge instead of Lee Marvin or Sylvester Stallone. Its Saving Private Ryan if, instead of rescuing a soldier, they were trying to make a metric ton of cash.” Deadpool’s team of hired mercenaries goes up against “Lord Deathstrike, and the Crazy Gang, and Taskmaster, and Deadpool’s sorta undead nemesis, Evil Deadpool.”The release of the mini-series is set for February 2016, as is the film starring Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with a Mouth.-----Source: Polygon, IGNImage: IGN

Star Wars Battlefront has a slew of new modes and heroes. The first new game mode is a “short, intense” Heroes vs. Villains. The mode is six versus six and split into rounds. Three players from each of the two teams randomly spawn as the Heroes and Villains. The other three members are either Rebels or Imperial troopers.
Once a Hero or Villain is defeated, the player returns to the battlefield as a regular soldier. To win the round, a person must either defeat all of the enemy Heroes/Villains or have more Heroes/Villains alive at the end of the round than the other team. For more information, check out EA’s official post here.
The next mode is called Battles. This goal is to collect tokens from defeated enemies to reach 100 points. This mode can be played against a team of AI or against another player. When playing with another person, individuals can fight one versus one or with a team of AI fighting alongside.
There are also Hero Battles, which are similar to Battles, except that people play as the Heroes and Villains of the Star Wars universe. Development insight on the mode is available here.
Training Missions is the final mode announced and is essentially a series of simple missions to get new players up to speed on how to play the game. A tutorial and five Training Missions have been announced in which players learn to fly an X-wing, pilot Snowspeeders, speeder bikes and the AT-ST. Individuals will also learn how to control a Hero character.
Players will be able to play the missions either solo or with a friend online and in split-screen co-op.
Three Heroes/Villains have been announced today, the first being Emperor Palpatine.
According to the developer EA DICE, Palpatine is to be the playable Villain announced. Palpatine is the Empire’s support character, distributing power ups to troopers and boosting the health of other Villains. His main attack is Force Lightning that also comes in a more destructive Chain Lighting form. It deals area damage to surrounding enemies in all directions. Palpatine also has the ability to Force Dash, which allows him to "move extremely fast in his current direction."
The next hero/villain is Leia Organa. Leia is all about buffing team members. Players that spawn near her will appear as Alderaan Honor Guards. Her offensive ability is called Trooper Bane and kills Stormtroopers in a single shot. The attack deals massive damage to Villains, stunning them temporarily. She can also drop a stronger version of the Squad Shield and a supply drop, bringing a variety of power ups.
Finally, there is Han Solo. He “is a gunslinger mainly designed for lone wolves, and, echoing the beginning of the original Star Wars trilogy, he’s not very depending on others,” said lead Hero designer, Jamie Keen.
The first of Han’s abilities is Rapid Fire, which removes overheating, allowing players to fire as fast as they can pull the trigger. The second of his attacks is Lucky Shot, which hits harder than a normal shot and is effective against vehicles. It is also strong enough to break a Villain’s block. The final ability is Shoulder Charge. It allows Han to move quickly in to or out of a battle.
Star Wars Battlefront is set to be released on November 17.

Twitch Plays Dark Souls has defeated Gwyn, Lord of Cinder. After 43 days and 904 deaths, victory has finally been achieved.
The channel was playing a modified version of the game, allowing for it to be paused and actions to be voted on in the chat. These pauses were edited out of the video for the sake of convenience. The channel started without this feature, but the chaos made completion of the game impossible. People in the chat could even vote on how long each delay should be.

The SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) is in negotiations with video game producers to renegotiate the Interactive Media Agreement. After two meetings between groups of voice actors and producers, no agreements have been reached. Union members are currently calling a strike to vote.According to their website, the SAG-AFTRA is seeking to “bring the long-standing agreement into the 21st century.” Some of the requests are residuals based on the success of the project, the limit of and payment for vocally stressful recording sessions and a stunt coordinator on set to train and monitor the actors during performance capture.
