Money Makers

(10/18/22 2:00pm)

The Ball State Daily News obtained the contracts of all Ball State Athletics coaches and compiled the top five highest earners. All figures are the base salaries, not including retention bonuses, incentives or coaching perks. All multi-year contracts included liquidation causes that detail the amount owed by the coach or Ball State University in the event of a coach's departure. If the coach chooses to leave, there is a certain amount that they owe the university in liquidation depending on how many years are left on the contract, but if the university decided to terminate the coach's contract without probable cause, the university owes that coach a certain amount to fulfill the remainder of the contract.

A journal from a photojournalist: My first year

(05/11/22 5:06pm)

This past year was a whirlwind for me. I never thought I’d be able to do half of the things I've done this year at all, let alone in my first year of college. The weeks before I started at Ball State in August, I was dreading the thought of coming to college. High school was filled with loss in so many ways and I assumed college would be the same way.
