Ball State Soccer (6-3, 0-1 MAC) lost 1-0 to Central Michigan (4-0-2, 1-0 MAC) after Marle Bringard scored in the closing minutes of the first half. This is the first loss in the Cardinals’ Mid-American Conference opener since 2011.
Coming off a 1-2 road trip which saw Ball State Soccer (6-2-0, 0-0 MAC) get shut out twice, the Cardinals showed little signs of adversity Friday. Ball State defeated Purdue Fort Wayne (4-2-2, 0-0 Summit League) 4-0, thanks to an improved offense, and a shutout from sophomore goalkeeper Alex Deruvo in her first career start.
For its second consecutive game, Ball State Soccer (5-2, 0-0 MAC) could not find the back of the net. The Cardinals were shut out 2-0 Sunday by Florida Gulf Coast (3-3, 0-0 ASUN) to end their season-opening road trip at a record of 1-2.
Facing 18 shots, Ball State (5-1, 0-0 MAC) saw its 16-game unbeaten streak come to a close Friday at Florida Atlantic (5-2, 0-0 Conference USA). The Cardinals fell to the Owls, 1-0, as Ball State’s offense was shut out for the first time since a 1-0 loss at Kent State Sept. 28, 2018.
Ball State Soccer (5-0, 1-0 MAC) carried its momentum from its season-opening success at home Friday as the Cardinals shut out Omaha (1-3-1, 0-0 Summit League) 1-0 in their first road game this season.
Ball State Soccer (4-0, 0-0 MAC) once again received contribution from sophomore defender Grace Alsop as she scored another goal to help the Cardinals take down Loyola Chicago (1-3, 0-0 Missouri Valley) 2-1 at Briner Sports Complex.
In what graduate student goalkeeper Tristen Stuteville described as “a small check-in to our ultimate destination,” Ball State Soccer (3-0-0, 0-0 MAC) was able to hold off Illinois State (1-2-0, 0-0 Missouri Valley) in a 1-0 victory Thursday.
After scoring six goals as a team on Friday, senior forward Sam Kambol scored the lone goal for Ball State Soccer (2-0-0, 0-0 MAC) Sunday in a 1-0 victory over Marquette (0-2-0, 0-0 Big East) Sunday. The win extended the Cardinals’ unbeaten streak to 11-0-2 over their past 13 games.
Taking only one shot and not recoding a single point last season, sophomore defender Grace Alsop wanted to prove she was ready to take a step forward. On Friday she did just that.

After nine seasons, Ball State's Soccer Head Coach Craig Roberts announced his resignation last month, according to a Ball State Sports press release.

It’s been 160 days since Ball State Soccer ended its 2018 season with a 1-1 loss (5-4 in penalty kicks) to Bowling Green to end the MAC tournament. However, the team has been back in action since February, playing five games as part of its annual spring season.
With the bulk of the season in the fall, Ball State Soccer takes time in the spring to stay loose and work on its game.
Canada's famed maple leaf and the unmistakable Swiss cross join Trinidad and Tobago's vibrant red and black flag outside the fence at Briner Sports Complex. Athletes in the middle of the pitch also catch glimpses of the U.S., Spanish, Swedish and English flags as they chase and make plays up and down the field.
