Playing eight games in a 10-day span, the Ball State University baseball team broke even. The Cardinals defeated four of their opponents and lost to four. Ball State started Spring Break in Conway, S.C. in the Springmaid Beach Resort Tournament. The Cardinals won the first game against Long Island University 8-7 before dropping back-to-back games to Coastal Carolina University, 6-1 and 10-8 respectively.

Scotty's Brewhouse manager Phil Juskevice said the restaurant began accepting orders through its Web site in January. The Ball State University men's volleyball team swept Mercyhurst College Saturday three games to none in Erie, Pa. The No. 9 Cardinals won their matches 30-23, 30-25 and 30-27 respectively. Matt McCarthy led Ball State with 13 kills in the match. The Cardinals look to extend their streak when they return home on March 21 to play IPFW.
