Tickets to see Democratic presidental candidate Barack Obama have run out, with about 500 people remaining in line. Obama campaign members said they would write the names of those still waiting in line so they would have the chance to get tickets. Ball State University sophomore Ali Bishel claimed a fourth-place finish at the 2008 Stanford University Invitational last weekend. Because of the large number of entrants, the 10,000-meter run was divided into two sections. Bishel's time of 34:37.63 placed her fourth in her section and moved her to second all-time in school history in the event.
After two consecutive wins, the Ball State University women's golf team's win streak came to an end Tuesday. The Cardinals finished 11th out of 15 teams at the Indiana Invitational with a plus 61 in the three-round invitational. The win pushes the team's win streak to double digits, as it has won 10 straight in two weeks. The 18-run margin was the largest of the season for the Cardinals, as they improved to 18-9 on the season.
Most weeks the Ball State University baseball team plays two midweek games, but that is not the case this week as the Cardinals have only today's game versus IPFW. Ball State is 17-9 on the season and has won nine straight dating back to a loss to the University of Notre Dame March 25.
