To qualify as an Academic All-MAC candidate, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA and participate in 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First-year students and junior college transfers in their first year of residence, however, are not eligible.

Forty years of fashion

 Mattie Coleman is a woman who loves her clothes. Small in stature but big in character, Coleman's attire is a reflection of the things she sells. Wearing a dress adorned with horizontal lines of colored sequins, it's apparent that the variety of clothes available in her store stem from the owner's varying taste. Located on Walnut Street in downtown Muncie, the Town Boutique's eccentric interior is contrasted on the outside by a quiet decor.

PHOTO GALLERY: House Fire on McKinley Ave.

Muncie and University Police blocked off about a few blocks on S. McKinley Ave. as Muncie Fire Department worked to contain a house fire at 221 S. McKinley Ave. A call was received for the fire at the abandoned house at about 12:50 am. University Police department was the first to arrive at the scene after about two minutes, as smoke traveled northwest to the neighborhood bordering Ball State's south edge.
