So when Trey Moses, the Eagles’ senior basketball star, asked Ellie Meredith, a freshman with down syndrome, to prom, it may have surprised some. But the two “best friends” spend time together every day.

Ball State accepts WNIT invite

Ball State automatically qualified for the WNIT as the tournament's next highest seed when top-seeded Ohio won the championship over Eastern Michigan, who defeated Ball State in the semifinals.

Sellers named to MAC All-Freshman Team

The Mid-American Conference's 12 head coaches honored Ball State freshman Sean Sellers on March 9 when he was selected to the 2014-15 MAC All-Freshman Team. Sellers leads all MAC freshmen in scoring this season at 11.9 points per contest. He scored 26 points in his collegiate debut against nationally ranked Utah and has put up double-figures in 18 games.

Three players earn All-MAC honors

Junior Nathalie Fontaine was named First Team All-MAC for the second straight season. Sophomore Jill Morrison earned Third Team All-MAC honors, and Mariah Monaco was named to the MAC All-Freshman Team.

Sophomore's 3-point prowess translates to success

At 5-foot-7, Morrison was passed in height by many of her peers as her high school basketball career began. She realized the need to add the three point shot to her repertoire if she was going to compete with the taller players that worked in the paint.
