Ball State’s 1969 baseball team to reunite after 50 years

With Apollo 11 landing on the moon, the original Woodstock taking place, the Stonewall riots breaking out in New York City — 1969 paid witness to many events of significance in American history. At Ball State, the year saw one of the most successful baseball teams in the university’s history.

Ball State Baseball in good place after loss to Indiana

Just 14 pitches into the game, sophomore Drey Jameson punched out Indiana’s (28-13, 9-3 Big 10) first three batters. It was a favorable start for Ball State (25-15, 9-4 MAC), especially after giving up four runs in the first inning of the Cardinals’ 14-3 loss to the Hoosiers just a week prior. Tuesday, despite ending in a 9-3 loss, was a bounce-back game for the Cardinals.
