Four Ball State baseball players named in top 300 prospects

Four Cardinal baseball players — all juniors — have been named top 300 prospects by D1baseball.com. Right-handed pitcher Zach Plesac was the highest-ranked Cardinal at No. 133, right fielder Alex Call was ranked 199th, shortstop Alex Maloney was 242nd and catcher Jarett Rindfleisch was No. 254.

Ball State Athletics: Week in review, Nov. 23-30

While most students went home over Thanksgiving break, student-athletes at Ball State University continued winter season play for their respective athletic teams. Whether they stayed in Muncie, traveled across the country or crossed borders, here’s what the Cardinals have done in the past week of play.

Ball State loses first series of the season

Ball State fell twice in three games to Kent State last weekend April 10-12. Ball State's two losses 0-3, 7-11 casued ball state to loose its first series this season after winning 16 strait series.  "We have the whole season ahead of us", head coach Rich Maloney commented after the series, "We still have big series comming up with Central Michigan and Toledo to name two". Ball State was held scoreless for only the second time this season in the cardinals first game with the Kent State golden flashes.
