MUNCIE, IN (Cardinal WX) - Good Morning and happy Election Day! Today is November 8th and Cardinal WX has all your weather updates to get your day started out at the polls. So breaking it down, not too bad of weather, but we will be seeing some rain showers throughout the day. You can expect cloudy conditions for when the polls open and those scattered rain chances to stay throughout the day. Not a major rain event, Muncie expecting about 0.17". Winds will stay moderately low, but we do expect a cold front to move through our area bringing high wind gusts coming from the north. This cold front will bring us back down to our normal temperatures for the rest of the week. Today is a nice day here in Indiana, temperatures are currently at 67 degrees. Tomorrow's high is expected to reach 75 degrees with partly cloudy skies. Thursday we can expect storms, and Friday a low chance of showers. The weekend will be a nice one, with cloudy skies and a high of 69 on Saturday, then expected temperatures in the 70's on Sunday with sunny skies. MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- Today Muncie has a winter weather advisory bringing icy roads, cold wind chills, and of course snow. The snow will continue into tomorrow evening. Grab your coats, hats, and gloves, as Rachel Russell brings the forecast for this cold Tuesday.
Today our high of 53 degrees will be reached around 3 PM. These high temperatures we are experiencing are much warmer than the average for this time of year. Our high temperature has increased since yesterday, and will only continue to get warmer into the weekend when we will see temperatures in the 60s. These temperatures will begin to drop into the start of next week when we will have highs in the low 50s. Rachel Russell tells more in this midday weather update.

The line of storms that prompted the tornado watch across central Indiana has weakened, prompting the National Weather Service to cancel the watch. WCRD’s chief weather forecaster predicts heavy snowfall in the Delaware County area late Saturday night and into Sunday morning. Five to nine inches of snow will fall and temperatures will be a frigid high of -10 degrees with a windchill approaching -40 degrees on Monday.
