Muncie Police say both teen suspects wanted for the murder of 24-year-old Rafael Rodriguez are now in custody. 17-year-old Mason Lee O'Neal and Marcus Early Wilson II were considered armed and dangerous. Investigators believe the two teens and co-defendants went to Rodriguez' home with intentions to rob him of crystal meth. Rodriguez was then shot in the chest and pronounced dead two hours later at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. The victim's brother, 25-year-old Jeffrey Rodriguez, remembers his brother as a bright, stunning young person.

Warm conditions are right around the corner! Thursday morning held the last possibility for frost before we will see temperatures steadily start to rise. Thursday's afternoon high will reach 64 degrees with clear skies. Missing the rain? Well sadly then there is none in the near term forecast, with seemingly perfect conditions for the next five days. Conditions will remain clear with plenty of sunshine, and we will break into the lower and mid 70's by the weekend. Make sure to take advantage of the warm weather outside before the next showers return.

MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- Compared to what Muncie has been used to weather-wise lately, much calmer conditions are coming. Beginning today with a high of 58, temperatures will constantly be going up and those will come with lots of sunshine. Up through Monday, every day calls for nothing but sun in the area. Highs for tomorrow will be in the mid 60s and will be going up from there. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will have highs 70 or above. Friday will have a high of 71, 70 for Saturday, and 74 for Sunday all with sunshine. Beginning the work week on Monday will still have temperatures in the lower 70s and sun, but could see some rain later in the day into Tuesday.

MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) - Another wet day here in Muncie as .78" of rain fell in the last 24 hours. If you are tried of the rain, changes are coming to the forecast. Tonight, however, conditions will get much colder before it gets warmer. A Freeze Warning goes into effect tonight at 1:00 am and will expire at 9:00 am. Temperatures will drop below freezing point in the overnight hours with some areas even experiencing some early morning frost. Tomorrow, sunny skies will dominate much of East Central Indiana. Highs will reach the lower 50's and lows will drop down to the low 30's. Wednesday and the remainder of the week are looking to be warm and sunny. A very strong high pressure will be driving the weather for the majority of the next seven days. Temperatures early next week could even reach the mid-70's.

MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- We have had a rainy start to the work/school week. As of 10am we officially picked up 0.64 inches of rain since 5 pm yesterday. The rain is going to continue throughout most of the day today, and at sometimes it will be heavy. By the time 5pm Monday rolls around, we can expect closer to an inch of rain accumulation. There is the slight chance for a few rumbles of thunder in the afternoon, but we do not expect any severe weather. Overnight on Monday skies will start to clear a bit as high pressure starts to build in the area. This high pressure is going to be the theme for the entire week as spring like weather returns to the forecast. A ridge in the jet stream is going to allow for warm, southern area to make it’s way into our area. Throughout the entire week temperatures are going to climb from 50 on Tuesday to a high of 67 on Friday. Muncie, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- Hello everyone and happy Friday! Tonight our lows will get
down to 25° with scattered showers around the area. Our winds will be coming
out of the west at 15 mph with gusts over 20 mph. Tomorrow we may see some
scattered snow showers in the area before eventually dissipating by the early
afternoon as our highs struggle to reach 40°. Sunday rain showers and possibly
a thunderstorm or two will return to the area but our highs will get all the
way up to 54° during the afternoon. Monday the wet weather will hang around
with us but our highs will continue on an upward trend reaching 56°. By Tuesday
we finally get rid of the rain showers and clear things out as partly cloudy
skies return to the area but our highs will take a dip only getting up to 51°.
And by mid-week our highs begin to rebound up to 55° during the afternoon and
sunny skies return to the region so be sure to get outside next week and

MUNCIE,IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- Today we will reach a high of 46 degrees with rain by this afternoon. The winds will be from the West at 20 to 30 mph. For tonight, there is a chance for a rain/snow mixture as temperatures drop down to 26 degrees. There is a freeze warning in effect for Saturday at 2:00 am until 11:00 am. A high pressure will cause temperatures to be cool and conditions to be dry during the day on Saturday. The temperatures will reach a high of 40 degrees. Temperatures will warm back up on Sunday with a high of 57. Chances of rain will return Sunday afternoon and into the overnight hours. The rain will continue throughout the day on Monday with a high of 56. Sunny conditions for the rest of the week and temperatures warming up to 60 by the end of the week! MUNCIE, IN (Newslink-Indiana) -- A freeze warning is in effect tonight through tomorrow mid-morning, and a freeze watch is in place for tomorrow night into Saturday morning. Rain continues to linger into the next week, with on again-off again showers throughout the week. Wind will also be another factor to look out for over the next several days. Wind gusts will be in the mid 20s through Saturday. A rain/snow mix will be around for Friday morning, eventually changing over to rain for the afternoon, with the possibility of a few rumbles of thunder. Sunshine comes around for Saturday, but temperatures don't make it out of the upper 30s. Rain chances return for Sunday through Tuesday. Temperatures warm up a bit into the latter half of the week next week.

Rain is returning for yet again another Thursday. Last night bought dropping temperatures along with moderate rain showers. These showers will return for Thursday, which will bring a high of only 43 degrees. Moderate winds will also be present, ranging 15-20 miles per hour from the North/Northwest. Conditions will clear overnight heading into Friday before bringing the next round of showers Friday mid-day. Expect an overnight low of only 31 degrees. Friday could bring snow flurries late into the evening hours, as temperatures will drop below the freezing point by the evening hours. Saturday will bring clearing conditions, but a high of only 39 degrees. Warmer conditions will return by Sunday and Monday, where temperatures will increase back into the 50s.

MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) Rain is becoming to more widespread throughout Muncie and will last through the overnight hours for your Wednesday night and Thursday early morning. As the low that is causing this rain pushes off to the Northeast we will be seeing wrap around showers for Thursday afternoon and clearing out just in time for another shot of colder air for Friday and maybe a few flurries Friday late morning. Temperatures will be cooler on Friday with a high of only 45 but turning even cooler for Saturday only reaching a high of 34 on Saturday. Rain will start to fill in the radar by Friday afternoon and last till late Friday and then will turn to all snow flurries by early Saturday morning. High pressure sets in just for Saturday Afternoon/Evening and then late Sunday expect another round of storms, however temperatures will be in the mid to upper 50s by Monday. MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- Rain is on the way for Muncie, as the low pressure system is moving east. During the mid-afternoon hours, rain will move in and will stick around throughout the night hours and tomorrow as well. Highs today will be around 60 but tomorrow will be cooler in the upper 40s for highs. The rain will move out until Friday night when there will be rain and some snow chances as well. Not much in terms of accumulation for snow is expected, but Muncie will have a new rain total of about an inch of rain by the time Saturday comes around and all of the rain moves out. Highs for Friday will in be in the mid 40s, and will be in the upper 30s for Saturday with partly cloudy skies. With a high of 50 on Sunday, rain will return late Sunday night and continue into Monday. The beginning of the work week will be wet with a high of 59 on Monday, and a high of 53 on Tuesday.

MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- Cold temperatures shocked many this morning as they took a plummet from the comfortable spring-like temperatures. The temperatures will only continue to fall moving into the weekend as a chance of rain is expected on Wednesday and Thursday as well as a rain/snow mix expected to hit the Delaware county area Friday night. Temperatures will finally look to warm up heading into next week with highs in the lower 60s on Monday.

MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) - It is officially spring, but still feeling like winter as we did see some snow this past weekend. We do see this low pressure system moving through the next few days bringing rainy conditions and with the jet stream staying south, keeping us pretty cool. Low tonight of 22 degrees with overcast skies and some possible flurries. Now tomorrow morning from 2AM to 9AM we do have a freeze warning out. This means if you do have an early commute to class or work to keep bundled up with temperatures in the 20s. Also if you do have any plants to keep them covered or bring them indoors. High tomorrow of 46 with mostly sunny skies. Warmer temperatures come into the forecast on Wednesday with a high of 60, but rain chances start in the afternoon. These will be here to stay for the next few days, but could be a mix of snow and rain. A dramatic cool down for the weekend with highs in the 30s, but the rain does move out.
