Calling all music lovers! If you are looking for an eccentric sound among the wave of alternative pop and R&B in the Muncie area, look no further than May’s Artist of the Month: Imani. On April 26, I had the chance to interview this Ball State University student. His potential was palpable through the screen of our Zoom call. He wore a pink hoodie and much like the color; he exuded a vibrant and chill demeanor. As a first-generation American, born to Jamaican immigrants, he reflects on music's important role in his life. He grew up listening to reggae, dancehall, R&B, and gospel. He traded in his old stomping ground of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, full of palm trees and balmy weather, for the four-season state of Indiana to study musical theater.

Attack on Titan is an anime that fans just can’t seem to get enough of. Even though the series has been airing for nine years, it still has just as much hype around it as it did when it first premiered, if not more. And as we near the finale of the series, the excitement continues to build. The second part of season four of Attack on Titan was nothing short of absolutely spectacular. From the captivating storytelling to the changing relationships between characters, and the exhilarating fight scenes, these past 11 episodes encapsulate just what makes the series so successful. Part two provided many answers to questions that fans have been wondering about for the past three seasons while yielding multiple surprising plot twists at the same time. As thrilling as part two was to watch, it was just as equally thought-provoking and emotional. And let's not forget the killer opening by SiM, which foreshadowed just how electrifying and phenomenal part two would be.

Kirby has had a rough transition to 3D—wait, that’s not right. Kirby has somehow never had a 3D game in its 30 years of existing. Sure, past games might be made up of 3D models but the gameplay has always remained as a 2D side scroller, until now. Kirby and The Forgotten Land marks a turning point in the series as it becomes a 3D platformer. While I was excited about this new endeavor for the franchise, I was also hesitant to be optimistic. I’ve only played two Kirby games before, Triple Deluxe and Star Allies, which I thought were pretty good…and pretty bad. It’s safe to say that I didn’t want to get my hopes up that this entry would be a slam dunk.
