According to the National Weather Service from Indianapolis, Indiana:
April was a cool and dry month across northeastern central Indiana. The Delaware County Regional airport received measurable rainfall almost every day in April. Most days, however, it was usually less than 0.10". Interestingly enough, every Sunday in April was dry! Despite record breaking temperatures in the 80s on the 23rd and 24th, we ended the month over 2 degrees below normal! We saw several cool stretches throughout the month and 4 nights with low temperatures below freezing.
We set 3 new temperature records in Muncie this past weekend!!! Both Saturday and Sunday set new records for high temperatures! Saturday's high of 85 beat the record of 84 set back in 1985. Sunday's high of 83 beat the record of 82 set back in 2009. Also on Sunday, we set a record for the warmest low temperature for April 24th! Sunday's low of 67 beat out the record maximum low of 62 set back in 1976. Records date back to 1962 in Muncie.
Today has been a mostly cloudy, yet warm day. We currently have winds out of the south, which is actually being caused by a warm front pushing north and east. This warm front will push through the area throughout tomorrow, which is why we will potentially see record highs in Muncie. Sunday brings the chance for thunderstorms, some could be strong, but confidence remains low on the strength of these storms at this time.
Today: Happy Earth Day !! We run the risk of seeing some stray showers and storms roll through during our afternoon hours, but weather data trends are looking good for some clearing thereafter. Satellite and radar show both warming and clearing moving steadily northeast through Terre Haute where a temperature of 75 was observed at the time of this article! That should help set the stage for a good start to the Late Nite Carnival but we should still watch for some stray shower potential.
Tonight: Temps will settle in the high 40s with a low of 49 degrees. Winds will be calm at 5 mph from the North West and there is a chance of rain after midnight. The skies will be partly cloudy but clouds will start to build as the night goes on and eventually leads to rain come tomorrow.
Tonight - I am tracking high chances for rain moving into our area around 2AM tonight. A warm front is moving warmer air into Muncie with sustained wind speeds of 20-25 MPH and gust of up to 35 MPH, make sure that you don't have anything in the yard that may blow away!
Tonight: Partly cloudy skies stick around the area. Cooler winds will be coming from the northwest at around 5-10 mph. Lows reaching into the mid-thirties.
Tonight: Cooler with winds East 5-10 mph
Following a sunny but cool weekend, clouds have moved in with a big warm up on the way.
Tonight: Delaware, Blackford, Jay, and Randolph Counties are under a wind advisory until 8pm tonight. We are seeing sustained winds of 20mph, gusting up to 45 mph, this afternoon. Clouds will return tonight with a chance of showers and a low of 42 degrees.

Tonight: Storms will start to move through around 8PM and these could be severe. Depending on how much clearing we see over the next few hours, storms could get stronger. We are under a Slight Risk which is a level two out of five for severe weather. Our main threats will be damaging wind gusts of up to 75 mph and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. Temperatures will cool down to the lower 40s as this rain moves through overnight.
Tonight: A decrease in temperatures will occur through the night with winds ranging from 15-20 mph. Moderate precipitation will pass through into the morning with a chance of thunderstorms.
