A Sports Illustrated post from March 9 shared news that Iowa women’s basketball player Caitlin Clark passed former Davidson men’s basketball — and current Golden State Warriors guard — Stephen Curry for the most 3-pointers made in a Division I basketball season. The first comment shot down this accomplishment because Curry played in the men’s league while Clark played in the women’s game, claiming the two were not on equal ground.

Coming into the I-75 Tournament in Kennesaw, Georgia, Ball State softball was still ironing out some kinks from their first two tournaments of the season. However, multiple things fell in line for the Cardinals as they finished the event with a season-high tournament record of 3-2.

In 2023, Ball State’s lone senior Amaia Daniel was celebrated throughout the season and received an emotional tribute on the Cardinals’ senior day. She was given flowers after walking down the third baseline with her parents and her dog.
