It’s been nearly a decade since Wendell Brown played his last snap on the gridiron for Ball State University. In the last two years, Brown went from being a football coach traveling abroad in China to being detained in a foreign prison.
Nearly 18 months have passed since Craig Nichols, the former building commissioner of Muncie, was arrested on the grounds of wire fraud and money laundering. So far, Nichols has been the only Muncie official to be indicted in the FBI’s investigation of the City of Muncie.

My car rumbled to a stop as I sat and watched an American flag flutter in the afternoon breeze. Beyond that iconic image of patriotism was a world I never thought I’d find myself again – high school.

Just two weeks into the season, Ball State field hockey already has more wins than it did in 2015.
In the nine seasons before Max Norris became Ball State's women's tennis coach, the Cardinals had only seen two winning seasons. Through this stretch, women’s tennis held a record of 82-119, winning 17 Mid-American Conference matches.
