Ball State Women’s Volleyball (6-6, 0-0 MAC) finished the 13th annual Active Ankle Challenge dropping it’s first match to Wright State, 3-2, and sweeping Missouri State, 3-0.

Ball State Women’s Volleyball (5-5, 0-0 MAC) returned home after back to back road tournaments, hosting the annual Active Ankle Challenge. Cardinals opened up tournament play Friday night, sweeping Austin Peay (1-10, 0-0 OVC), 3-0, in front of a raucous Worthen Arena crowd.

Ball State (4-5, 0-0 MAC) went into the weekend at 3-3 on the season looking to leave Highland Heights, Kentucky, with an above .500 record. The Cardinals were off to a good start Friday, defeating Northern Kentucky in five sets, but they were unable to reach their goal after a pair of losses Saturday against Cincinnati and Notre Dame.

It was 36 seconds into the 249th meeting between Duke and North Carolina when the Blue Devils' freshmen star, Zion Williamson, suffered a knee sprain. Cameron Indoor Stadium went silent as Williamson would be out the rest of the night. Williamson's absence allowed the Tar Heels take control of the game for a 88-72 win.

The 2012-13 season marked a new era for Ball State Women's Basketball with the hiring of head coach Brady Sallee and right from the get go Cardinal fans have seen nothing but, success from their team. Since taking over the program, Sallee has had 120-75 overall record and coached the team to one of their best seasons in program history, 25-7 record last year.
