There always seems to be something going on in the late hours around Ball State. Late night mixing in corner apartments, house parties and yes, even your neighborhood bar. Many of our guests around Muncie know Brothers Bar to be a great late night hangout for conversation and some of the best drink specials in the area. But there’s another side of the sun-dial that we’re pretty proud of too. Day life at Brothers is a perfect time to spend with friends and enjoy one of our six different salads or five wraps, especially if you just want to venture out of the office or away from campus for a spell. And as part of our weekday lunch special, guests can get any one of our salads for just $5, and any wrap for just $5.99 (every Mon-Fri, 11Aa-3p). Earlier this summer, we introduced two new salads, Socko-Taco Salad and Thai Chicken Salad, and have quickly become best sellers on our large food menu. Both are included in our $5 lunch special lineup.

As a young art student at Ball State, the only source for art supplies was the Ball State Book Store. Back in the 1970's when I was purchasing, I remember having to ask at a window for a special paper, tube of paint or paint brush, then waiting while the person I had asked went to retrieve the products. It was kind of like shopping on the Internet for art supplies: as a customer I didn't get to handle the products or see the color before purchasing, only after. At some point during my college career, Dave's Art Supply opened in the village. It was a great place with a great atmosphere and all the cool kids hung out there! I never wanted to leave.

Every Ball State student knows that late nights in the Village are a frequent occurrence. After a long day spent being productive, dancing and socializing can take a toll on anybody, and it’s easy to become really hungry. But, getting hungry can quickly ruin your night- especially when you’re struggling to find a quick and close food option. Having to call an Uber to take you somewhere can be a hassle, especially if you’re not ready for the night to end.
