Ball State University Spring 2021 graduate Karleigh Conner has been awarded an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship in recognition of her accomplishments in academics, athletics, extracurricular activities, and community service. A former Ball State Track & Field/Cross Country athlete, Conner was one of only 21 female Spring sport athletes in the United States to receive this $10,000 scholarship.
At the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon, June 11, Ball State Track & Field junior Charity Griffith placed fifth in the Women’s high jump. This placement ensures Griffith is a First Team All-American.

For more than two decades, soccer at Ball State was limited to men only. From 1961-82, men competed on the field, and every passionate female soccer player watched from the sideline. It wasn’t until 1999 that Ball State added women’s soccer as an intercollegiate sport.
In her career, Ball State Track and Field senior Karlie Zumbro held an indoor personal best of 2:18 in the 800-meters. In the Doug Raymond Invitational Feb. 11-12, Zumbro set a new lifetime best with a time of 2:14 to win the event.
