Android already does this: An analysis of Apple's latest releases

I’ve never been one to take a bite out of Apple. My first smartphone was the Samsung Galaxy S4, and I just upgraded this summer to the Google Pixel. While I will admit that Apple products have their place in the technology market and showcase some good key features, I don’t believe they’ve ever really lived up to the hype surrounding their phones and computers. However, with the news of the latest iPhones being released, I decided to tune in, watch the release, and give my take on the iPhone release from the perspective of an Android fanboy.

Nirvana's 'Nevermind' turns 26

The album that thrust the grunge movement into the spotlight, Nevermind, came out 26 years ago this week. Along with the Live in New York performance, Nevermind stands as one of Nirvana’s most popular albums, giving us tracks like “Come as You Are” and “Smells Like Teen Spirit”.

Celebrating the Gold and Silver Age: Top ten Pokemon of Gen 2

Today marks the re-release of the second generation of Pokémon games, Pokémon Silver andPokémon Gold on the 3DS virtual console. Generation Two tops many Pokémon fan’s best generations list, and there is little wonder why: It’s a whole new place with a brand new attitude. The region is massive, the gameplay vastly improved from the first generation, and most importantly, new Pokémon!

Rick and Morty Season 3, Episode 8: "Mind Blowers"

Obviously, “Morty’s Mind Blowers” does absolutely nothing to propel the story of this season, and after it was just starting to pick up the pace last week, that might be disappointing for some people.

Studying abroad in Japan: The weebs are wrong

Considering that Japan is so overly romanticized by Westerners, the idea that anyone could see Japan as anything less than a utopia of anime merchandise and cute maids may seem radical, but no place on Earth is devoid of issues and complexities.

Trump recently took to twitter once again to bash the Emmy awards for having less than stellar ratings this past weekend. Also, Donald Glover and Julia Louis Dreyfus won Emmy's as well, so it's not all bad!

iPhone X: Too futuristic for the modern day?

The iPhone X reveal showed off some promising aspects. Below are compiled thoughts of what we thought was going to happen before Tuesday’s announcement as well as concluding thoughts of the phone’s pros and cons. For more information regarding the iPhone X’s details, be sure to check out Eben Griger’s article on the subject.

Rick and Morty Season 3, Episode 7: "The Ricklantis Mixup"

Last week’s teaser gave the impression that this week’s episode would be, like the title implies, about Rick and Morty visiting an underwater city. Instead of following Rick and Morty as they explore the depths, the audience follows a few stories taking place on the Citadel as the society of Ricks rebuilds.

'Destiny 2': A world without light shines in gameplay and storytelling

On September 6, 2017 Bungie released Destiny 2 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a PC release on October 24. Thanks to a newly placed – and much needed – focus on storytelling, Destiny 2provides players with an engaging conflict in humanity’s fight for the future against their newest threat: the Red Legion. Along the way there’s exotic worlds to explore, aggressive aliens to fight, powerful loot to grab, and an abundance of quests to supplement the fight against the Red Legion.

'It' floats above the original mini-series

Let’s face it (hah), the popularity of the 1990 mini-series is highly reliant on nostalgia. The problem with nostalgia is that it blinds people to the faults of the content they love. So when it was announced that It would be receiving a remake, many fans were skeptical. Tim Curry is a hard act to follow, and many fans were worried that the remake wouldn’t measure up to the original they love. Luckily, that’s not the case.
