The Cardinal Job Fair returned in-person at Worthen Arena Feb. 16 while maintaining last year's COVID-19 safety guidelines.

The Cardinal Job Fair gives Ball State students the ability to interact with employers and recruiters for the purpose of finding employment, internships or graduate school information.

Over a hundred employers signed up for the event and nearly one thousand students were expected to attend.

All participating students, employers and staff were required to wear masks and maintain social distance in compliance with university guidelines regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

Students who participated at the job fair wore their best formal clothes and established connections with the various employers at stands.

Eli Lucas, a senior at Ball State, expressed his gratitude for the opportunities the Cardinal Job Fair offered.

“It’s a great opportunity for students, I feel very fortunate to be surrounded by employers that want Ball State students like me.,” Lucas said.

Employers and participants expressed optimism regarding student turnout at the event, noting that there seemed to be a higher number of students than Fall 2021.

Katherine Denker, director of graduate studies at Ball State, encouraged students to take advantage of the job fair.

“It’s an excellent opportunity for students to explore opportunities and their masters,” Denker said.
