Ball State football is on a two-game losing streak after dropping last Saturday’s game to Indiana University, 38-10. After playing No.8 Notre Dame to a close 24-16 finish, the IU game was a disappointment to some fans and players alike. The team seems to recognize that there’s plenty of football left to be played, with the non-conference schedule coming to a close with this weekend’s game against 0-3 Western Kentucky.

“You gotta put it behind you,” says wide receiver Corey Lacanaria. “It’s just one of those things where that’s over, you can’t change anything about it. You can only learn from it and I think we have learned from it.”

The defense gave up over 450 yards to the Hoosiers last weekend, and will face a redshirt freshman quarterback this Saturday as they attempt to find their footing. A win over WKU would bring the Cardinals back to .500 to begin the MAC schedule.

“We’re better than what we’ve shown,” says linebacker Jimmy Daw. “We’re going to come out (against Western Kentucky) and we’re going show out.”
