Ball State men's tennis Lucas Andersen, Andrew Stutz win MAC Doubles Team of the Week

Ball State men's tennis (9-8, 0-0 MAC) seniors Lucas Andersen and Andrew Stutz were named Mid-American Conference Doubles Team of the Week.

Andersen and Stutz went 2-0 against Western Michigan on Friday, beating the No. 74 nationally ranked partners Daniel Lobel and Kennosuke Nouchi. On Saturday, the partners beat Toledo's first-flight partners Stjepan Sisko and Thawin Suksathaporn in straight sets 7-6 (12-10).

The record for this duo is 5-3 in first-flight doubles matches. Against nationally ranked partners, Andersen and Stutz are 1-1. On the team, the duo has the most wins in any flights with five.

This year, Andersen and Stutz are Ball State's first doubles team to win the accolade.

The duo will be in action at 2 p.m. Saturday against Northern Illinois.
