Power has been restored to all buildings affected by the power outage, said Jim Lowe, associate vice president for facilities, planning and management.

Carmichael Hall, LaFollette Complex, Johnson Complex, the Robert Bell Building, the Ball Communication Building, the David Letterman Communication and Media Building, the Art and Journalism Building, Teachers College, the Applied Technology Building and the L.A. Pittenger Student Center were all impacted, said Lisa Renze-Rhodes, director of media strategy.

The high voltage circuit that supplies power to these buildings faulted a switching vault, Lowe said. The reason for the fault will be determined and repaired.

Facilities were able to restore power by switching the pathway to other circuits that give power to the building, Lowe said.
