Due to an emergency, ESPN's John Anderson has been forced to cancel his visit Oct. 13 at Pruis Hall, according to an email sent on Oct. 12.

The university-wide email sent to students said the sports anchor was committed to visiting campus, and a rescheduled date would be made in the future.

Anderson's lecture "SportsCenter Stories: Good Stories, Great Writing and Do I Have to Wear Pants?" will be a part of the David Letterman Distinguished Professional Lecture and Workshop Series.

Anderson is an anchor on the Emmy-award winning daily studio show SportsCenter and is most often seen on the 11 p.m. edition of the program reporting on major sporting events, the email said.
