Two Cardinals named to CoSIDA Academic All-District

Junior Ball State baseball players Alex Call and Caleb Stayton were selected to the College Sports Information Directors Association Academic All-District team.

On the field, Call is tied for the NCAA lead with both 23 doubles and 62 runs scored, and he has the best slugging percentage in the Mid-American Conference (.687).

Off the field, he has already graduated with a bachelor's degree in entrepreneurial management, finishing the program in three years.

Stayton is tied for second in the NCAA with 63 RBIs and leads the MAC with a .388 batting average and .476 on-base percentage.

In the classroom, he carried a 3.919 GPA through the Fall Semester while majoring in telecommunications.

The pair were two of 11 players selected to represent District 5, which includes universities in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.
