YouTube star Markiplier hits 10 million subscribers

YouTube star Mark Fischback, also known as Markiplier, recently hit the 10 million subscriber milestone.

The YouTube Let’s Player tweeted out the announcement shortly after the subscriber count was tallied.

Markiplier’s channel has more than doubled in subscribers since the beginning of the year, gaining approximately 5 million subscribers since January until now. Markiplier recently hit 9 million subscribers in August of this year. Other YouTubers, including one of Mark’s friends Jacksepticeye, joined in on the celebration, congratulating Mark on his accomplishment.

Mark also posted on his Facebook wall about the milestone, writing, “Holy crap, now that’s a milestone worth celebrating!”

Despite the numbers slowly drawing nearer to the 10 million mark, Mark hadn’t prepared a video for the occasion and said in his Facebook post, “I’m gonna be brainstorming something else to really celebrate this occasion! Will let you know when I’m done!”

Markiplier started his YouTube channel in 2012. Since then, he has become one of the fastest growing YouTube channels, ranking 38th overall. He is most well-known for his Let’s Plays of horror games, charity livestream events and for his comedy sketches done with other channels, specifically the recently inactive Cyndago.
