MEN'S GOLF: Ball State tied for fifth

Merkel leads team with score of 146

Coming off a home tournament win, the Ball State men's golf team is tied for fifth after the first two rounds at the Robert Kepler Invitational in Columbus, Ohio.

Freshman Tyler Merkel is leading the Cards tied for 11th place with a 146 overall score. Sophomore Joe Gasser is tied for 30th with a score of 151.

Senior Eric Steger is tied for 40th with a score of 153. Finally Alex Stinson and TJ Carpenter round out the team with scores of 154 and 157, respectively.
