The Ball State University women's basketball team lost to Temple University 78-73 Monday night for its first home loss of the season. Ball State is 6-4.
Ball State led 32-30 at halftime. Ball State shot 45 percent from the floor and shot 25 percent from behind the 3-point line.
Forward Emily Maggert led the team in scoring with 22 points. Guard Porchia Green, who was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week on Monday, scored 12 points and led the team in rebounding with 10.
Ball State will play in Alabama for the Crimson Tide Holiday Classic on Dec. 29-30.
